Here we give you a guidance on their tour with the information that we believe may be of your interest. The information is indicative, may exist variations on designated hours.
TRANSFER from the airport, if you have it included or purchasing. Our transfer will be waiting for you with a poster on behalf of Europamundo or its name to the output of the custom (after collecting your luggage)..
Remember to inform us by phone if you lost your connection flight or expected delay of their arrival, in your VOUCHER figure the phone of the transfer.
IMPORTANT: If you had additional nights upon arrival the hotel will have your reservation, but his travel guide normally will not be until the night before the start of the tour.
Scenery: Very beautiful countryside in the Epidaurus area with the sea in the background. Mountains of the Peloponnese interior.
08:00 hrs - Athens -Departure. The timings for this stage of the journey may change in October to take advantage of the sunlight.
09:45 hrs – Corinth Canal - Brief stop to take photos of this age-old structure. We follow the coast. Spectacular landscapes take us into Epidaurus.
10:45 hrs - Epidaurus. - We visit this superb Greco-Roman theatre, which is set in exquisite surroundings (admission to the site is not included).
12:00 hrs - Epidaurus- Departure.
13:00 hrs - Nafplio –Arrival - City dedicated to fishing. Historic centre with whitewashed streets and views over the sea. Its castle dominates the surroundings. Time to explore and have lunch.
16:00 hrs - Nafplio –Departure.
19:45 hrs - Olympia – Arrival, evening meal and accommodation.
Paisajes: Hoy la mayor parte de la ruta la efectuamos en barco, la etapa se encuentra dominada por el mar Egeo.
Notas importantes: El autocar no viajará con nosotros en los tramos efectuados en barco (lo volveremos a encontrar a nuestra llegada a Atenas), no olvide llevar consigo su documentación y lo que pueda necesitar durante el día. Los horarios de los ferris que comunican las islas griegas tienen muchos cambios según épocas del año, siendo anunciados con poco margen de tiempo. La información que aquí se brinda a nivel de horarios es orientativa. Las frecuencias entre Poros y Egina son muy limitadas; durante los meses de temporada baja la isla de Egina podría ser sustituida por la isla de Ydra.
08.30 Nauplia –salida-.
09.00 hrs.- EPIDAURO , tendrá tiempo para conocer su antiguo Teatro construido hace 2400 años, se encuentra magníficamente conservado y sigue siendo utilizado, pudiendo acomodar hasta 14 000 personas.
10.30 hrs.- Epidauro –salida-.
11.15 hrs.- Galatas – llegada a este pequeño puerto, frente a él, a poca distancia vemos la isla de Poros. Embarcamos en agradable ferry que en aproximadamente 15 minutos nos deja en la isla de POROS . Tiempo en este lugar encantador lleno de vida turística, sus casas antiguas trepan hasta la torre del reloj; tiempo para pasear y almorzar. Tras ello (horarios variables según periodo del año, travesía aproximada de 45 minutos) tomamos ferry hacia EGINA , isla habitada hace más de 4000 años, podrá pasear por sus antiguas iglesias, su pintoresco puerto y sus típicos barrios de pequeñas casas.
Sobre las 18 hrs tomaremos nuevamente ferry que nos llevara en unos 45 minutos a ATENAS –Llegada al Pireo , –recogida de equipajes y fin de servicios si usted finaliza aquí su viaje o encuentro con nuestro autocar y traslado al hotel si continua servicios con nosotros- .
Nota: Dependiendo del número de pasajeros, puede que su guía no realice el trayecto en ferry. En ese caso, su nuevo guía le estará esperando a su llegada a la isla.
Por la mañana tiempo libre. Una buena oportunidad para hacer compras o para ir a sus museos.
Por la tarde tendremos traslado al puerto del Pireo donde embarcamos en ferry nocturno , con condiciones similares a las de los cruceros, acomodación en camarote doble con baño privado. Noche a bordo.
Nota: Los horarios de la salida del ferry pueden tener modificaciones. La hora prevista de salida es a las 19.00 hrs excepto de Junio a Septiembre en que la salida está prevista a las 18.00 hrs. Sugerimos disfrute de la cubierta del barco navegando, cene en su restaurante y se relaje durante la travesía. Desayuno no incluido durante la travesía.
N.B.- The ferries that link Rhodes with Marmaris undergo frequent changes in schedules and do not operate every day (except during summer months). The itinerary may be adapted based on the frequencies available during your trip.
09.00 hrs.- Rhodes, departure. We include excursion to discover the island of Rhodes.
09.45 hrs.- PETALOUDES, "the valley of the butterflies". From the church of Moni Panagias which has impressive views, we will begin a pleasant walk following alongside the stream, which from June to September is visited by thousands of butterflies ( entrance to the Natural Park included) .
11.15hrs.- Petaloudes.- Departure.
12.15 hrs.- LINDOS , arrival to this town whose medieval fortress and Greek Acropolis dominate the sea. You will be able to walk through the white and commercial streets of the centre, relax on its beaches or climb up (by donkey, if you wish) to the Acropolis.
15.00hrs.- Lindos- Departure. After lunch we return to Rhodes where we board a fast ferry to TURKEY. Remember to have your Passport ready, you will need it to enter in Turquey. Border procedures.
The journey last one hour. Usually, in the summer season, the departure of the ferry is scheduled at 17:00 hrs (exact time will be informed on "my trip", varying according to the dates).
18.00 hrs.- MARMARIS, arrival to this beautiful coastal tourist enclave, with its castle, its marina and its fountains. Dinner included.
NOTE: On some high difficulty dates (especially in summer ), some groups can be accommodated in a nearby town.
Scenery: Varied: mountain areas and beautiful coast. Fantastic
Notes: We recommend that you also bring comfortable shoes and if you wish, bring your bathing costume and towel to this place!
08.00hrs.- Marmaris. Departure.
09.30 hrs.- DALYAN, arrival to this incredible place next to a beautiful navigable river. We include a boat ride of about two hours to see the ROYAL LYCIAN TOMBS . Also by boat, we will continue on to a large lake where we will stop at the hot springs. If you wish, you can swim in its warm waters or take a mud bath! We allow time to eat at one of the many Dalyan restaurants by the river.
13.30hrs.- Dalyan departure. We continue our route between mountains.
17.15hrs.- ANTALYA, arrival. We will have a brief visit to this great coastal city of more than one million inhabitants; Hadrian’s Gate, the Ottoman district and its great waterfall that falls directly to the sea. Dinner included. .
Scenery: Spectacular contrasts; landscapes on the sea. High mountains often covered with snow; arid lands of Anatolia.
08.00hrs.- Antalya- Departure.
09.00hrs.- ASPENDOS. We will visit the Roman theatre, for many, it is the best preserved in the world.
09.45hrs.- Aspendos- Departure.
10.30hrs.- SIDE, arrival. We will be able to admire the Greek temple of Apollo by the sea. There’s time to walk through its port and streets that are full of life.
12.30hrs.- Side. Departure. Travelling through breathtaking landscapes, we cross the Taurus mountains – their peaks stand at over 3500 meters high, and are covered in snow for most of the year. We stop for lunch en route, in a beautiful service area by the mountains.
17.00hrs.- KARAMAN arrival to this city with oriental atmosphere. . We will visit TARTAN EVI, an old Ottoman mansion.
18.00hres.- Karaman. Departure. We continue on to the Cappadocia region, great arid plains on the route in southern Anatolia.
20.15 hrs.- NIGDE. Arrival. We suggest you take a walk around its bazaar, its old mosque and its fortress. Dinner included.
Scenery: We continue amid the beautiful landscapes of Cappadocia. Spectacular scenary. Picturesque towns.
Notes: Today it is again necessary to wear comfortable shoes as we continue to explore Cappadocia.
09.00hrs.- Nigde. Departure. We enjoy a full day in the fantastic region of CAPPADOCIA , with its lunar landscapes, its churches and troglodyte villages.
We start by visiting GUMUSLER, an incredible underground monastery of the 7th century with perhaps the best Byzantine frescoes in Turkey. In KAIMACLI we will visit the underground city that could house 30,000 people. Then, we will visit UCHISAR , a natural fortress where we will know its 60 meter rock filled with houses in excavated caves. Time for lunch.
We will discover after lunch the GOREME Valley with its open-air museum and its churches carved out of the rocks, entry tickets included.
Hotel in Avanos . pleasant town in the center of the region of Capadocia known for its pottery, its attractive old town with cobbled streets and its views over the river. Time to enjoy the hotel facilities or walk through the streets. Dinner is included.
At night, after dinner, we suggest attending the "Turkish night" show (optional).
Scenery: We continue amid the beautiful landscapes of Cappadocia.
Notes: Today it is again necessary to wear comfortable shoes as we continue to explore Cappadocia. In Konya, we visit places considered "holy" for the Dervish sect: please wear appropriate clothing.
07:30 hrs - Nevsehir –Departure-. In the morning we will visit the PASABAG Valley or Monks Valley derived from some cones carved in tuff stones which stand appart.
09.00 hrs.- Driving along minor roads we enter areas that are less frequented by tourists. Small characterful towns mark the Ihlara Valley.
09:45 hrs - Ihlara Canyon –Arrival-. Refreshed by the cooler air by the river, we explore churches that are carved into the rock of the canyon.
11:45 hrs - Ihlara Canyon –Departure-.
13:00 hrs. - Sultanhan –Arrival-. Here one of the most beautiful caravanserai is preserved. This magnificent building reminds us of the great caravans of camels that, in the past, marked these lands. Time to explore and have lunch.
14.45 hrs - Sultanhan –Departure-. Landscapes with large herds and arid plains.
16.00 hrs - Konya –Arrival-. In the center of Konya, we explore the MEVLANA MAUSOLEUM, a holy place for Dervishes, the Muslim sect known for their whirling "trance" dancing. Admission to the exhibition is included. Later, we suggest a stroll through the bustling bazaar. Dinner included.
At night, we suggest that you attend the dance performance of the whirling dervishes in the cultural centre.
Scenery: Varied: mountain areas and lakes. Fantastic "cotton mountain" at the end of the day. Notes: We recommend that you also bring shoes that are easy to remove and carry in Pamukkale... and if you wish, bring your bathing costume to this place!
08.00 hrs. - Konya –Departure-. We continue our journey through Turkey´s interior.
11:15 hrs. -Egridir. Located on the shores of a lake with the same name, this is a picturesque town with its walls and mosques where we can walk and have lunch.
13:30 hrs. - Egridir –Departure-.
16:15 hrs. - Pamukkale –Arrival-. Admission included. At the "cotton mountain", our coach will drop passengers at the top of the mountain so that - having admired the ruins that date to the Roman era - you can descend on foot between the hot springs and the "baths". The colours at sunset are fantastic. Our coach will collect you at the area below. Finally you will have time in the hotel at which point you can enjoy its thermal pools. Dinner included.
Scenery: Various: proximity of the sea in region at the end of the stage.
Note: Again, for the Ephesus visit, it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes.
08.00 hrs. - Pamukkale –Departure-.
11:30 hrs. - Ephesus – Arrival-. We now visit a fantastic complex of Roman ruins. 2,000 years ago, this city had a quarter of a million inhabitants. We will discover with our guide the house of the Virgin Mary, the Basilica of Saint John and the impressive ruins at Ephesus (tickets included) . Time for lunch.
17.00 hrs- Ephesus departure. We continue on towards the Turquoise Coast, which has magnificent landscapes.
20.15 hrs- Bodrum , the former Halicarnassus is nowadays one of the most prestigious tourist spa towns in Turkey. Di nner included.
Scenery: Impressive suspension bridges crossing the Marmara Sea and the Bosphorus Strait.
We will make a short visit to IZMIR with our guide. We will tour the church of Saint Policarp , the oldest in Izmir, which reminds us of the importance of this area at the beginning of Christianity (entry tickets included). We will also discover the Fort of Kadifecale .
10.00hrs.- Izmir. Departure. We will travel through the interior of Turkey again. There will be a stop en route to have lunch.
15.30hrs.- BURSA , the fourth city of Turkey whose historic centre has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which includes traditional shopping districts, mosques, religious schools, public baths, etc. and its outstanding Green Mosque.
17.30hrs.- Bursa, departure.
19.45hrs.- Arrival in ISTANBUL at the end of the day.
19.30 hrs - At the end of the afternoon we will provide a transfer to the Taksim neighbourhood, the most commercialised and lively area of ??the city. There will be time to dine in one of its many restaurants, and you can also take the old tram that crosses the area or go to see the nearby Galata Tower.
Free time (an optional visit with tickets and lunch inside the Topkapi Palace is available).
