Introduction
Dear Traveler: thank you for choosing us to perform this Tour! We hope you enjoy your trip.
Here we give you a guidance on their tour with the information that we believe may be of your interest. The information is indicative, may exist variations on designated hours.
TRANSFER from the airport, if you have it included or purchasing. Our transfer will be waiting for you with a poster on behalf of Europamundo or its name to the output of the custom (after collecting your luggage)..
Remember to inform us by phone if you lost your connection flight or expected delay of their arrival, in your VOUCHER figure the phone of the transfer.
IMPORTANT: If you had additional nights upon arrival the hotel will have your reservation, but his travel guide normally will not be until the night before the start of the tour.
Reception. Transfer to hotel and free time. You will receive information about the start of the circuit during the afternoon, or you can check the informative panels in the hotel reception area.
IMPORTANT - IF YOU REQUESTED ADDITIONAL NIGHTS on arrival at the hotel you will have your booking made but the guide of your trip will normally not arrive until the start of the included activities. YOUR TIME BEFORE THIS MOMENT IS THEREFORE FREE. At your hotel they can help you with all the information you need.
NB: The schedules you will find in this itinerary are approximate. The guide, depending on the situation and in order to improve the development of the circuit, may adjust the schedules.
In the morning, we have a 2 hrs scenic tour of the city , which will be a great introduction to “The Eternal city”. In the panoramic you will know the ancient Rome called Imperial Rome: Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Piazza di Venezia with its monument to Italian unification, Quirinal Hill with the Palace of the President of the Republic, Marcelo Theater, Capitol Hill, Roman Forums , Circus Maximus, Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin with the mouth of truth, Republican Temple, Termas de Caracalla, Aureliana Wall, Basilica di Santa María Maggiore and Archbasilica of St. Johm Lateran, Church of Santa María in Dominica (Navicella), Cestia Pyramid , San Paolo Gate, Lungo Tevere avenue with the Jewish synagogue of Babylonian style, Tiberina Island in front of the Castel St. Angelo. This tour ends at St. Peter´s Square in the Vatican. The Vatican Museums are closed on Sundays, so, if you are interested, we recommend you to do it at this time. Free afternoon.
18.30 hrs.- In the evening we provide transport to the Trastevere area, where you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and international food. Return to hotel.
Note: Because the new municipal regulations on the circulation of tourist coaches in Rome are still being defined, the panoramic visit described may vary accordingly.
Scenery: Apennine Mountains and Tuscan vineyards.
Note: We recommend you wear comfortable shoes as the tour of Florence involves walking.
08:00h Rome – Departure, passing through the Tiber Valley.
12:30h Florence – Our first contact with the Renaissance city is Piazzale Michelangelo , a viewpoint with marvellous views of the city. Don’t forget to take your camera! Walking tour with local guide , lasting two and a half hours. We visit the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vechio, Straw Market, Piazza Republica, Palacio Vecchio. Free afternoon to explore and visit the city’s historical markets and museums. The city has many restaurants that offer a wide variety of local and international food, where you can dine.
Paisajes: Muy bonitos paisajes atravesando el interior de la isla de Corcega 06:00 hrs.- Florencia –salida-. Muy temprano saldremos de Florencia. Viajamos hacia el puerto de Livorno en donde embarcamos en moderno ferry (salida a las 08.00 hrs) hacia la isla de Córcega . Disfrutará del mar durante esta travesía de algo más de cuatro horas de duración. El barco reúne condiciones de crucero (tiendas, restaurante, bares, amplias salas…).
Notas: La salida de Florencia se realizará a las seis de la madrugada, este día no se incluye el desayuno. En ocasiones los ferrys cambian de horarios, en estos casos el programa puede sufrir pequeñas modificaciones. 12:30 hrs.- BASTIA , llegada, muy pintoresca ciudad, destaca su viejo puerto rodeado de terrazas de restaurantes y el elevado barrio de “terra nova” rodeado con sus impresionantes murallas. Tiempo para pasear y almorzar.
15:00 hrs .- Viajamos por el interior de Córcega, sus paisajes de altas montañas son impresionantes. Muchos consideran esta isla como la más hermosa paisajísticamente del Mediterráneo.
16:30 hrs.- CORTE , llegada. Muy hermoso pueblo lleno de vida dominado por su ciudadela. Incluimos un paseíto en trencito turístico que nos permitirá apreciar mejor la belleza de esta pequeña población.
17:30 hrs.- Corte –salida-.Continuación entre altas montañas.
19:15 hrs.- AJACCIO , llegada.- Anímese a pasear por las muy animadas calles del centro con su multitud de restaurantes en terrazas al aire libre.
Paisajes: Paisajes espectaculares con grandes vistas sobre el mar en el recorrido siguiendo la cosa Corsa. Tras el desayuno tendrá tiempo libre en la capital de Córcega, podrá pasear por su casco antiguo donde se encuentra la casa en la que nació Napoleón y por sus elegantes avenidas junto al puerto.
11:30 hrs.- Ajaccio –salida-. Seguimos nuestra ruta entre paisajes de gran belleza.
13:00 hrs. Propiano . Pintoresca ciudad junto al mar. Tiempo para almorzar y pasear.
14:30 hrs. Propiano. Salida. Continuaremos en nuestra ruta por el sur de Córcega.
15:45 hrs.- BONIFACIO , llegada a esta ciudad entre acantilados, tendrá tiempo para pasear por “La Marina” con sus grandes yates o subirá a la “ciudad alta” con sus callejones llenos de encanto y sus murallas.
Desde este punto embarcamos en ferry (horarios variables, normalmente tomaremos ferry con salida a las 18 hrs ), una travesía de 50 minutos nos separa de Cerdeña.
19:30 hrs.- Santa Teresa Gallura -Llegada- (horario puede tener modificaciones) y continuación de ruta siguiendo la costa de Cerdeña.
21:30 hrs.- SASSARI . Llegada y cena incluida .
Paisajes: Espectaculares paisajes costeros y agradables paisajes por el interior de Cerdeña.
Un tiempo en Sassari, el segundo centro político, comercial y cultural de Cerdeña; podrá conocer los callejones del centro y su gran catedral barroca.
10:30 hrs.- Sassari –salida-.
11:15 hrs.- ALGHERO .- Llegada. Encantadora pequeña ciudad junto al mar, sus habitantes hablan el Catalán (además del Italiano) y su casco antiguo se encuentra casi intacto rodeado por sus fuertes murallas.- Tiempo para pasear y almorzar.
15.00 hrs.- Alghero –salida-. Viajamos hacia el sur de la isla, seguimos la costa entre espectaculares paisajes marítimos.
16.00 hrs.- Bosa .- Característico pueblo sardo; espectacular ubicación. Una foto y una parada.- 16:45 hrs.- Bosa- Salida. Viajamos por el interior de la isla.
19:15 hrs.- CAGLIARI, llegada. Cena incluida
Por la mañana, iniciando a las 09.00 hrs de la mañana incluimos visita panorámica con guía local de la capital de Cerdeña, hermosa ciudad que fue habitada desde 800 años antes de Cristo. Veremos sus elegantes bulevares, el anfiteatro romano, su catedral y el barrio del castillo que domina la ciudad. Finalización de la visita sobre las 11.30 y tiempo libre.
15:00 hrs.- Cagliari –salida-. Volvemos a viajar hacia el norte de Cerdeña.
16:30 hrs.- ABBASANTA LOSA , aquí conocemos uno de los “nuraghe” de la isla, monumentos megalíticos, fortaleza circular. Entrada incluida al recinto.
17:30 hrs. - Abbasanta Losa –salida
19:30 hrs.- OLBIA , llegada.
Por la mañana, sobre las 09:00 hrs , sale nuestro buque de regreso hacia la península Italiana. Moderno ferry con todas las comodidades. Travesía de algo más de cinco horas. Tiempo para almorzar a bordo.
14:30 hrs.- Civitavecchia , hora aproximada de llegada y continuación de nuestra ruta hacia Roma.
15:30 hrs.- Roma –Llegada-. (Horario estimado, en ocasiones los barcos pueden sufrir cambios de horario ajenos a Europamundo).
NOTA: Salidas de Mayo y Octubre que utilizan el ferry nocturno: la llegada a Civitavecchia es sobre las 07.00 hrs de la mañana. Tras desembarcar viajaremos a TARQUINA, una magnífica población medieval. Tras un tiempo para conocerla continuamos a Roma (llegada sobre las 13 hrs).
Landscapes: Very beautiful landscapes in the bay of Naples and Sorrento.
Notes: As we will take some boats, we suggest you to take some warm clothes. Do not forget to take the camera as landscapes are of great beauty. For climatic reasons, sometimes the ships that connect Naples with Capri or Sorrento do not operate; in these cases, the route would be modified arriving to Sorrento by road and visiting Amalfi instead of Capri.
07.30 hrs- An early start in Rome, to travel to the south of Italy. 11.00 hrs. - We pass through NAPLES where we embark ( boat ticket included) for the ISLAND OF CAPRI (estimated departure at 11.35hrs in a 50 minutes cruise with very beautiful landscapes) ;
12.45 hrs.-CAPRI - if you wish, you can take a launch to the White Grotto or take a trip on the cable car to Capri capital. Free time.
16.20 hrs- Capri- Departure. we will board once more and continue to Sorrento (schedule might be modified)
17.15 hrs- SORRENTO , arrival to this town full of charm and tourist life at the foot of the cliff. Time to stroll.
18.30 hrs- Sorrento departure. We continue to the Gulf of Salerno.
20.15 hrs- Salerno. Arrival.
Note: During the winter months, schedules will be modified (leaving Naples earlier) in order to take advance of sunlight.
Landscapes: Mountains, sea, villages en route.
Note: We recommend you to take warm clothes to enjoy the crossing on the ferry between the Italian Peninsula and Sicily.
07.30 hrs- Salerno. Departure. We travel to the south of ¨the boot¨. Attractive southern Italian scenery as we cross the Cilento National Park.
11.30 hrs- We arrive in PAOLA , on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea, we visit the sanctuary of St Francis of Paola and we have free time for lunch in its pretty historic centre.
14.00 hrs- We go on our way to VILLA SAINT GIOVANNI where at around 16.30 hrs we take a 20 minutes short ferry crossing to the island of SICILY .
17.30 hrs- Arrival in MESSINA where we will have time for a stroll in the center of this great city, our meeting with the island of Sicily.
18.30 hrs.- Messina, departure.
19.30 hrs- TAORMINA. Arrival. Dinner included.
NB: Accommodation in the “region of Taormina”, the accommodation may sometimes be in Messina.
Landscapes: Hills, hanging villages, olive trees, views over the sea.
08.30 hrs- Taormina, departure. Very beautiful landscapes following the Mediterranean.
10.30 hrs.- SYRACUSE , Arrival to this city which for a time rivalled Athens and Rome for its power and splendour. In addition to its impressive archaeological site, you have time to visit its magnificent historic centre and lose yourself walking through the narrow streets. Time for lunch.
14.00 hrs- Syracuse. Departure.
14.45 hrs.- NOTO , arrival to this small city that seems to have stopped in time, the Baroque jewel of Sicily. Walk with our guide through this as yet almost undiscovered city at a touristic level that preserves a monumental heritage.
16.30 hres- Noto. Departure. Small roads in the interior part of the island.
20.00 hrs.- AGRIGENTO .- Arrival . In the coach we see the magnificent temple complex. Dinner included.
Today we know arechaeological sites that remind us the importance of the ancient Greece in Sicily. With a local guide we visit the Valley of the Temples, an impressive archaeological site considered the most complete complex of Greek temples (ticket not included) .
11.00 hrs.- Agrigento.- Departure.
13.00 hrs- MARSALA, arrival to a historic city with a lot of atmosphere and a famous wine, and time for lunch.
15.30 hrs.- Marsala departure.- We go on around the Marsala salt marshes.
16.15 hrs.- ERICE , a very picturesque Phoenician town perched at the top of a hill and overlooking the sea. Time to stroll.
17.15 hrs.- Erice- Departure.
19.00 hrs- PALERMO. arrival and Dinner included .
09.00 hrs.- After breakfast, tour of PALERMO . The Sicilian capital is a city full of contrasts. Stories of Arabs, Normans, the splendour of the Baroque period. We include a transfer to the beautiful village (now an outlying district of Palermo) of MONREALE . one of the greatest examples of arab-norman architecture in Italy. The city of Palermo particularly stands out for the Palace of the Normans with its Palatine Chapel and Cathedral. After the visit free time in the area of Teatro Massimo.
18.00 hrs.- Transfer to the port, we board a modern night ferry, leaving at 20.00 hrs. Night cruise through the Mediterranean, accommodation in double cabins with bathroom. Remember that breakfast is not included in the ferry. These ferries are modern with all the conforts, restaurants, bars, party room and specious lounges.
Note: We recommend wearing comfortable shoes to walk around Pompeii.
07.30 hrs.- Arrival in NAPLES first thing in the morning (breakfast not included). After disembarking, time for breakfast.
09.00 hrs .- We continue to POMPEII to visit the remains of this Roman city that was covered by the ash of Vesuvius with a local guide (tickets not included). Time for lunch.
14.30 hrs.- Pompeii departure.
16.00 hrs- CASSINO . Arrival to see its immense Abbey with magnificent views; time too in the Polish Cemetery that reminds us that one of the toughest battles of the Second World War took place here.
17.30.- Cassino. Departure. Continuation to Rome .
20.00 hrs- Arrival in ROME at the end of the afternoon.
End of our services. Please, check the time of your flight in case you might need an additional night.
Important note: In case you have to book an external service (plane/train...) on the day of the end of
your tour with activities included, please remember that the schedules of the detailed itineraries are the "planned" ones but may be affected by different circumstances (traffic density, customer delays, breakdowns...). Do not book a flight/train with a tight schedule without taking this into account.
Always leave a margin in the schedule for unforeseen events.
